The Minnesota State Patrol says a westbound pickup truck and an eastbound van collided near Maki Road in Arrowhead Township, east of Floodwood, at about 8:15 a.m.

The pickup driver says slush from a passing semi hit the windshield and then the pickup hit slush on the road, causing a spinout.  The pickup then crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming van.

The crash injured one adult and one child in the pickup, and two adults and four children in the van.  The State Patrol says none of the injuries are life-threatening.

The people in the pickup are from Proctor and those in the van are from Nashwauk.
