Hermantown Convenience Store Owner Stops Burglary in Progress, 4 Arrested

Hermantown Police say a convenience store owner stopped a burglary in progress Friday morning.

Police say around 4:47 a.m. Friday, the owner of Adolph Store on Midway road walked in on a group of people who had entered the store. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. Police say a witness however followed them. 

The witness called 911 while following the suspects and officers eventually caught up with the suspects in Scanlon, about 13 miles away. 

Hermantown Police say four male suspects were arrested. Two of them are adults and have been booked into the St. Louis County Jail. The remaining two are juveniles and were taken to the Arrowhead Juvenile Detention Center.

This burglary comes a day after another gas station in Hermantown was burglarized. Hermantown Police cannot confirm yet if the two burglaries are related.
