Ontario Provincial Police in Greenstone say an employee at Robins Donuts reported the attempted robbery late Tuesday afternoon.  The employee said the woman entered the store with a rusty axe and demanded money.

The clerk refused to give any money, and the would-be robber fled on foot.

A detailed description of the suspect is not available because the woman wore a plain black scarf to conceal her identity.

The OPP asks anyone with information on the attempted robbery to call them at 1-888-310-1122, or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
