Giant Pumpkin Arrives at Lake Superior Zoo

Updated: October 09, 2019 07:54 PM

Danny Tanner's tender, loving care of pumpkins paid off again, when he drove into the Lake Superior Zoo with a beautiful giant pumpkin.

It will help decorate the grounds of the zoo during the annual Boo at the Zoo event.

"I give this one an 'A,' for color and size," he told us. "I estimate it weighs around 350 pounds. I've grown one that was 615, but I like this one."

He gets the seeds from a farmer down near the cities. He adds water, lots of cow manure, and protects the vines from hail.

Boo at the Zoo is both this Saturday and next!
