There's a new sign outside of Four Corners Elementary in rural Douglas County. It says, "We Love Our School," and then has space to recognize different groups. This week, that group is teachers.

Sarah James, president of the Four Corners PTA, is very excited about the sign. "It went up on Monday. We want our teachers to feel extra special. Normally we have a lunch at the school. We just had to change things up this year," she said.

Then, the PTA did something else. They emailed all the teachers and said they are going to offer them $50 to a local company of their choice.

"They are just so grateful. One of them said, is this for real? It made us really proud to be able to do this as a PTA. Right now, the fact is businesses are struggling. And teachers are working overtime. So we decided to do this, and we're thrilled," James added.

She said the requests have varied from the greenhouse up the road, Missinne's, and restaurants, like Shamrock Pizza.
