A surreal moment for the First Ladies of the Hillside on Thursday, as they enjoyed a gala to celebrate their art. It's now up on the walls at Zeitgeist.
One of ladies told us, "It feels like I'm dreaming. People asking about your art, and what you were thinking when you created it."
Paintings, beadwork, and fiber art are colorful expressions of their feelings and emotions. And it was up for sale! A portion of the sales is going to a compassion fund, which will help families in the Hillside.
Rachel Ross, one of the artists, said, "It's unbelieveable it really is. It took me a minute to get out of the house. I'm just excited, I hope it all goes, and helps some children."
Her friend and fellow artist, Amber Pelfrey, told us, "It's a whole other form of healing. Watching the way it transforms for other people. It's really cool to see other people enjoy it."
You can enjoy the pieces on the walls until December 3rd. And some of them are still for sale. Contact Molly Harney for more info:
