The "water contact not recommended" advisory was posted Wednesday at the Sky Harbor parking lot beach, which is on the harbor side of Park Point at the end of Minnesota Avenue.  The advisory was dropped Thursday.

Samples collected Tuesday had indicated the possible presence of fecal contamination. The beach is only tested on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Health Department asks anyone who becomes ill after contact with beach water to call them at 1-877-366-3455.

Beach monitoring results for dozens of locations on Lake Superior and the Duluth Harbor are posted at www.MNBeaches.org.
