The Duluth Fire Department spent much of the day Saturday battling a structure fire at a Downtown Duluth building that is now considered a total loss.
The fire took place at 118 East 1st Street in a building that used to be home to an antique and bike shop.
The owner of the building told the Duluth Fire Department that it has been used as a warehouse for the past few years.
The call for the fire came in at approximately 9:30am.
As crews worked to battle the flames, 1st Street, between 1st Avenue East and 2nd Avenue East, was closed to traffic.
Eventually, the roof of the building collapsed.
Damage estimates are $1,000,000 for the building and its contents.
The Duluth Fire Department said there are no injuries to report at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal's Office.
Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the Duluth Fire Marshal's Office tip line at 218-730-4380.
This fire comes just three weeks after the Kozy apartment building caught fire on the same block.
