No Injuries Reported in Northern St. Louis County Cabin Fire

No injuries or deaths were reported in a fire that took place in a cabin in northern St. Louis County Thursday morning.


According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 7:43 a.m. fire crews were dispatched to a cabin fire at Pehrson Lodge Resort in the 2700 block of Vermilion Dr. in rural Cook in Beatty Township.

Fire Personnel were able to contain the fire to the interior of the two story log cabin.

There were no reported injuries or fatalities associated with the fire.

The cabin sustained heavy smoke and water damage.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and Minnesota State Fire Marshal Office.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with the Cook Fire and Ambulance Service, Greenwood Township Fire Department, and Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade responded to the scene.
