Deputy Sheriff Adam Marwick says around 12:45 crews responded to the fire north of Cook. Marwick says the Cook Fire Department responded with the DNR assistance.

Marwick says there was no direct access to the fire from the road, so helicopters and boats were used. The helicopters dumped water from the air.

There was no damage to any structures, and no injuries were reported, Marwick says.

The Northland Fire Wire reports power is out in the immediate area.

The Minnesota DNR, St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, and Cook Fire Department responded.
