Faith Leaders Gather in St. Paul to Oppose Line 3 Pipline Replacement

Faith leaders gathered at the Minnesota Capitol in St. Paul on Friday to urge Gov. Tim Walz to oppose Enbridge Energy's Line 3 oil pipeline replacement.

Approximately 100 clergy and laypeople held a prayer gathering in the governor's office and presented gifts of wild rice.

Opponents say the project would threaten pristine waters in northern Minnesota and aggravate climate change.

Meanwhile, other lawmakers wrote to the Gov. Walz urging him to drop a legal challenge to the project that began during the administration of Gov. Mark Dayton.
