New Exhibit on Great 1918 Fire Debuts in Cloquet

The Carlton County Historical Society has announced the grand opening of its new exhibit on the Great 1918 fire at the museum in Cloquet.

The program focuses on the fire that took place in Carlton County through personal stories of those who lived there during the time of the catastrophe.

Executive Director of the Carlton County Historical Society, Rachael Martin says "it's a huge part of so many peoples lives, so many people who lived through the fire have passed away now, and we all need to remember what they went through and what it was like."

This event kicks off a year long series of which features multiple activities and programs commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1918 fire.
