Northland FireWire says the fire was reported around 7:45 and was told on the scene that the fire appears to have initially started in the kitchen of the home.

It is unclear how many people lived in the structure but all occupants got out safely and there were no injuries reported.

Crews from Eveleth, Virginia, Fayal Township, Mountain Iron and Gilbert all responded to the scene. The State Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.
