The event featured a horseshoe tournament, a delicious pig roast, information on veteran services, and raffles.

The funds from the event go to MAC-V in Duluth and the Veterans Service Office in Douglas County. The event is focused on helping local veterans.

"Veterans are in need so much. The money is not spent on them the way we want or not enough of it. The need is growing. We would hope the need would be going down but it’s not,” Todd Pfeffer, the owner of El Dorado Bar & Grill, said.

El Dorado raises funds to benefit veterans beyond the annual event with a meat raffle every Wednesday night. In 2018, they raised $24,000 throughout the entire year to give back to veterans in need.
