Organizers of Duluth's Grand St. Patrick's Day celebration announced it has been canceled due to concerns about the potential public spread of the coronavirus.

The release said a joint decision has been made to cancel the annual event that was scheduled for March 17th at the Clyde Malting Building.

Pond Stage Productions said instead of the indoor event, there will be a live-streamed internet event that will allow families to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and enjoy the scheduled performances from the comfort and safety of their own home.
