On Monday, the owner of Dressbarn announced that the women's retailer will be closing all 650 of its stores. This is one of at least four stores in the Miller Hill Mall over the past year that have either closed or announced they will be closing.

Duluth shoppers WDIO News spoke with say on Tuesday say they are disappointed to see all of these stores go. They also say they are losing more and more stores every day.

"I don't know what we're going to do. Everything's closing," said shopper Tina Ham.

"Going Out Of Business" and "Store Closing" signs have become a lot more common lately, specifically at the Miller Hill Mall.

"I think we're going to have a mall that don't have anything in it," said Ham.

WDIO News caught up with Ham in the Shopko parking lot. Shopko is not in the Miller Hill Mall, but is another one of the stores that announced it will be closing.

Shopko joined stores like Sears, Kmart, Younkers, Payless ShoeSource Inc., and most recently Dressbarn that announced they either have closed or will be closing.

Ham and other shoppers WDIO News spoke with believe the surge in online shopping has a lot to do with the closings.

"I can see how people can go online instead of coming to the stores, but I like shopping in the stores," said Ham.

But Ham says she soon may not have a choice.

"I am definitely worried that online is going to take over, and we'll have to go out of town just to go to the store," said Ham.

Another shopper WDIO News spoke with says she can only shop for children's clothes at Walmart and Target because of all the stores that are closing.
