The event gave the local youth a chance to take part in the New Years celebration without having to stay up too late.

There was plenty of fun and dancing for kids to participate in and with a lot of good response from the parents as well.

Senior Library Technician in Youth Services, Heidi Harrison says "it's been a very positive response, just for something, it's so cold outside. They can come to the library, get warm have some fun, kids can get some energy out. So it's a great relief for them, especially after being off from school for the week. So yea, its pretty exciting!"

This is the 2nd year that the Duluth Public library has hosted the celebration.

Last year, there were about 200 people were in attendance.
