Duluth police say they have identified the suspect who hit the phone out of a WCCO photographer's hand at the Make America Great Again rally on Wednesday, September 30. According to an update from the Duluth Police Department, the victim has decided to move ahead with charges against the individual. Initially the photographer had decided not to press charges.


The case has been sent to the City Attorney's Office for review of misdemeanor charges of Disorderly Conduct.

WCCO has been reporting it was their photographer, and that it was a Trump supporter who hit the phone shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say the man left the area before the incident was reported to officers attending the event. 

There were no injuries or property damage reported.
