Twenty-nine-year-old Abrum Oaktbe Olson is charged with engaging in electronic communications relating or describing sexual conduct with a child.

A criminal complaint alleges that Olson sent an explicit photo to a Grindr account belonging to what he believed was a 15-year-old boy, but that the account was actually being run by an undercover agent for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

According to the complaint, the agent engaged Olson in a conversation and responded to one message by saying "I'm probs 2 young," but that the conversation continued with explicit messages.  Eventually, the two allegedly agreed to meet at a baseball field in Hermantown.

Olson was arrested after officers allegedly observed him at the ballfield.  Prosecutors say that during an interview with law enforcement, Olson denied communicating anything of a sexual nature to the minor but admitted to driving by the field to see if the 15-year-old had turned up.

Olson appeared in court for an arraignment on Aug. 10 and is scheduled to return to court for an omnibus hearing on Aug. 28.
