Duluth Police Seek Suspect in Assault, Robbery

Police are looking for a suspect after a robbery and assault in a Lincoln Park neighborhood residence on Wednesday morning.

Police say the robbery in the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue was reported at 5:15 a.m.  Two victims suffered injuries during an assault.

The victims were treated at a Duluth hospital and released.  Their injuries are not beleived to be life-threatening.

"We understand how a crime like this creates concern in a community and, rest assured, police are working in earnest gathering evidence and following up on leads, which I'm confident will lead to an identification and arrest," Chief Mike Tusken said in a news release.

Police said no one was in custody as of late Wednesday afternoon.

They are not releasing other information to protect the integrity of the investigation, but say more information will likely be released Thursday.
