Thousands of runners and thousands more fans are flocking into town for Grandma's races and weekend festivities.

Every runner has a story and we've been asking people, why Grandmas?

One high school senior from St. Croix central in western Wisconsin is here to run the 5k with his track team buddies.

Zac Bringgold was was part of a 4 X 1 and 4 X 2 team that made it to state.

"The other guys are coming up to run with me it'll be fun," he said. Then adding with a smile, "And I love how the weather here can either be freezing cold or super hot, it's just weird!"

Bringgold says the unpredictable weather just adds to the intrigue of what is Grandmas marathon weekend.
