Top leaders in the Duluth Fire Department have been censured by delegates at the IAFF convention in Seattle.

Chief Dennis Edwards and Deputy Chief Shawn Krizaj are accused of anti-union behavior.

According to IAFF Local 101, the vote was unanimous and took place Wednesday morning.

They union put out a statement on Twitter: "We hope it sends a message that we take anti-union behavior seriously, and we stand ready to work together to identify and solve fire department challenges."

City Administrator David Montgomery provided the following statement: "City administration expresses full faith and confidence in Chief Edwards and Deputy Chief Krizaj. We support their efforts to improve the services provided by the Duluth Fire Department, no less than we appreciate and support the service and contributions of every member of the Duluth Fire Department."
