Community Action Duluth invites you to Dream Big event

Updated: October 29, 2020 05:26 PM

Community Action Duluth is asking you to Dream Big, and help them raise money virtually this year. Their annual fall luncheon fundraiser has been canceled because of COVID-19.

They've made a video that showcases some of the people who've been helped by the agency, with housing, health, transportation, tax prep, and financial advice.

Jason Gatrell shared that he served 15 years in prison, and has turned his life around. "Somebody recommended Community Action. They helped me get into this apartment, which is close to school. Down to the shoes on my feet for work, they helped me get the shoes. Helped me get a bike, so I can get back and forth. They've done so much for me. I really appreciate everything you've done. God bless you.

David Kirven added, "Just a good place to call up and get help if you really need it. All people need help now and then, especially in these times."
