A 61-year-old Culver woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon in Alborn.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says Rachel Ann Wermter was driving on the 6500 Block of Highway 47 around 5:00 when her vehicle skidded into the opposite lane, and off the road where she hit a tree.

The sheriff's office says she died at the scene.

No other passengers or vehicles were involved.   

The St Louis County Sheriff's Office, Meadowland Ambulance, Floodwood Police Department, Alborn Fire Department, St Louis County Rescue Squad responded to the incident.
