The COVID testing at the DECC is moving locations. Starting on Tuesday, the spot for your saliva test will be in Pioneer Hall. That's the same room normally associated with the pancake breakfast.

"It's much more space. Not only does it allow for more testing capacity, it just allows more space for people to feel comfortable in," explained Roger Reinert, interim executive director at the DECC. "There will be family tables, too. And when you wait in line, it can be inside."

The Minnesota Department of Health leases the space, and that's been very helpful for the DECC, since many events have been canceled. "We're really grateful for the opportunity to be a testing site. It's a good fit for the DECC's mission. People need to remember that the DECC is a public entity," he added.

Reinert also said that Vault Testing is hiring.

Parking will be free. Just tell the parking staff you are there for a COVID test.

The testing is open seven days a week. Hours are 12-7pm, Monday-Friday, and 10am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
