Folks strolled in to the fairgrounds in Barnum when the gates opened up in the morning. They were able to check out full barns of livestock, rides, and even yarn-making and blacksmithing! A tractor would shuttle people from the parking lots to the grounds.

Fair manager Allysha Sample said, "A man said to me the other day, thank you for making it possible to go to the State Fair each year. I said, what do you mean? He told me, you're like the mini-Minnesota State Fair. As fair manager, that made me really proud."

The fair continues through Sunday!
