Canal Park Brewery is helping those affected by the wild fires in California by selling the Resilience Butte County Proud IPA made by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. which is based in Chico, California.

The keg was tapped Saturday and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the fire relief efforts in California.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. shared the brew recipe to different breweries across the nation to join in the effort.

Over 1,400 breweries worldwide are participating in the cause.

The beer will only be available for a limited time. This is Canal Park Brewery's first major collaboration with other local breweries.

"It's kind of a great way that a lot of breweries came together to support one city that was devastated from the fire,” Benjamin Gopson, the co-head brewer of Canal Park Brewery, said.

Gopson said the Resilience IPA is a west-coast style, with strong citrus notes and a soft pine flavor.

The wild fire damage was described as the deadliest and most destructive in United States history.
