DULUTH, MN – Motorists traveling on southbound Interstate 35 near 27th Avenue West in Duluth will encounter a lane closure, Friday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.


The closure is needed while crews perform drilling and surveying in advance of the Twin Ports Interchange project, which is scheduled to begin in spring 2020.

On Monday, December 10, the I-35 northbound off-ramp to 27th Avenue West will close Tuesday, December 10. Work will start in this area at 9 a.m. This work is expected to be completed by noon or shortly thereafter and the ramp will reopen. Then the ramp from 27th Avenue West to northbound I-35 will close until 3 p.m. If the work at this location is not completed Tuesday afternoon, work will resume Wednesday at 9 a.m. and continue until it is finished.
