17-Year-Old Injured After Being Thrown from Tube on Whiteface Reservoir

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says a 17-year-old South Dakota boy was injured while tubing on the Whiteface Reservoir, approximately 10 miles south of Hoyt Lakes, on Saturday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says they responded around 3:20 to find that the 17-year-old from Wilmot, South Dakota had been tubing with two other people behind a Sea-Doo Jet Ski when the boy was ejected from the tube. 

The 17-year-old was transported in the air by Life Link III to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth with non-life threatening injuries.

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Palo First Responders, along with the Hoyt Lakes Fire and Ambulance service also responded.
