Wayne Boucher and Keith Musolf have advanced in the St. Louis County Commissioner District 5 race.

Rep. Pete Stauber vacated the seat after he was elected to Congress. 

Boucher and Musolf were chosen from six candidates. The county board is a nonpartisan body. 

Here are the unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State:

  • Wayne Boucher: 30.4% (346 votes)
  • Keith Musolf: 28.03% (319 votes)
  • Timothy Herstad: 20.04% (228 votes)
  • Keith MacDonald: 13.44% (153 votes)
  • Kal Randa: 4.57% (52 votes)
  • Robert "Bobby" Wagner: 3.51% (40 votes)

The special general election is in August.
