Police say a passerby spotted the body in the creek, just south of the 9th Street Bridge, at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and called 911.  Authorities say the person is an adult man.

Police are investigating this as an apparent suicide at this time.

In addition, police said there are glare ice conditions in the area and urged people to use caution when walking in the park.

"Not only travel in two's, but also, you really gotta watch the edges," says Undersheriff, Dave Phillips. "The rock in the shadows really holds the ice. Even though it's like 50 degrees-plus right now, I tell you what, it's just glare, slippery ice right next to the water. Again, we can't tell you if that is a cause, but in general, we need people to be very cautious this time of year."
