First, four cars were involved in two separate crashes on the northbound lanes of the bridge around 6:20 a.m.  The northbound (Duluth-bound) lanes were blocked while Superior Police worked to clear the accidents.

Officers cleared the crashes by 7:25 a.m. and the bridge opened to traffic.

Then, another crash around 8 a.m. forced the northbound lanes of the bridge to be closed again.  It reopened again by 9:30.

The Blatnik Bridge is also known as I-535 and U.S. Highway 53.
