Late Duluth Bishop to Be Laid to Rest Friday; Visitation Begins Thursday

Duluth's Bishop was passed away unexpectedly this past weekend will be laid to rest on Friday.

Bishop Paul Sirba died after he suffered a heart attack Sunday morning in Proctor. He was 59.
    
The diocese says Sirba collapsed at St. Rose Church and was rushed to a Duluth hospital where he died about 9 a.m.

A 2-day visitation will begin Thursday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth. The visitation on Thursday will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The praying of the Rosary will take place at 6:00 p.m. and Vigil prayers at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue at the Cathedral on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

Following the funeral Mass, burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
