The city of Bigfork now has a restored city hall.

It was originally built in 1936. Back in 201, the Bigfork City Council was considering abandoning the building.

With the help of a group of area residents funds were raised to restore it.

In 2012, the building was also placed on the National Register of Historic Places, which helped open up opportunities for funding.

The major funding for the project came from the Minnesota Historical Society's grant program, along with grants from the IRRRB and the Blandin Foundation.
