The event brought mushers, volunteers, and fans together to help support the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. There was live music, a raffle, human foosball, and many other games.

Saturday was also the first day that mushers could register for the race, but many simply enjoyed being around other sled dog fans again.

"It's all of our families coming back, so the mushers are coming in, a lot of our volunteers, our long-term volunteers coming in. We have a lot of people that are up from different parts of the state. We have people that came over from South Dakota, so we're expanding our base, and we're expanding our footprint, so it's fun to meet fans that have been watching the race from across several states," said Monica Hendrickson, a spokesperson for the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon.
