Proctor Hosts Annual Back to School Lunch

Proctor staff and teachers are fresh and ready for the school year. And they were able to get together once again, at the annual welcome back lunch.

About 300 people were invited to dine on wood-fired pizza and salad and other goodies at the St. Luke's Sports and Event Center.

"It's basically our first day of workshops. We're welcoming our teachers back. We had a keynote speaker this morning, and this afternoon we had additional workshops for our teachers," explained John Engelking, superintendent in Proctor.

He said they also invited law enforcement, and made it a real community event. This was the first year they were able to use the upper level of the event center.

School for Proctor and many Minnesota districts starts on Tuesday, September 3rd.
