The Pine County Sheriff's Office had identified 60-year-old Allen W. Hasser as a suspect in a May 25 shooting east of Hinckley.  A man called 911 to report that he was shot in the shoulder at a residence on Little Sand Creek Road.

The victim's injury was not life-threatening.

On Thursday, sheriff's deputies recovered a body in Little Sand Creek west of the residence where the shooting took place.  The body was identified as Hasser.

The sheriff's office says the investigation into Hasser's cause of death is still underway.
