Authorities in Cass County previously requested the public's help Saturday to find 12-year-old Kristine Bourassa and 8-year-old Tara Miller, both of Pillager, Minnesota. They were believed to have left the home on their own either Friday night or Saturday morning.

The Pillager Area Fire & Rescue posted on their Facebook page just after 5:45 Saturday afternoon the girls had been found safe.

They had been assisting the Cass County Sheriff's Office, and several local residents in helping search for the girls.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Pillager Rescue want to thank the many residents from the Pillager area for their assistance in the search efforts.
