A spokesperson for Minnesota Power says power has been restored to the city of Aurora.

A switch tower that feeds the city of Aurora was damaged and caused a power outage in the city. Power was restored around 2:30 Saturday afternoon.

"Our switch tower that feeds the substation for the city of Aurora was damaged around 8 this morning while a contractor was doing work in the area," Amy Rutledge, a spokesperson for Minnesota Power, said.

About 1300 customers were affected, including some in Babbitt.
