The two suspects, a male and a female, were arrested Tuesday, according to a news release issued Wednesday. The department said it worked with the Duluth and Superior police departments and the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office to make the arrests, but it was not immediately known where they were arrested.

Police found the body of 52-year-old Marcus Holton of Odanah when they responded to a call for a welfare check late Sunday night at 222 East 12th Street. The report said there may be an injured man inside.

After several tries, no one came to the door, so authorities say they forced their way inside. There was a deceased male in the residence, but authorities were not able to confirm whether he was a resident of the house.

He was the only one in the house, according to police.

It appears to be an isolated incident, police said. The Wisconsin State Crime Lab and Wisconsin State Patrol also responded and are helping process the scene.
