Arc Northland Hosts Job Event for Disability Community

DULUTH- People with disabilities and their families got information on how to find a job on Thursday.

The Arc Northland hosted Bob Niemiec, a national trainer on customized employment. He emphasized the importance of having a positive support group and networking. He also focused on finding a theme of how peoples' skills, interests, and work conditions match with potential jobs, and the opportunities out there.

“The more different we make it, the harder it is for folks to overcome that. We're really trying to focus on sameness. And not sameness like everybody is the same, but the fact that everybody is part of the same organic community," Niemiec said.
