The Arc Northland hosted Bob Niemiec, a national trainer on customized employment. He emphasized the importance of having a positive support group and networking. He also focused on finding a theme of how peoples' skills, interests, and work conditions match with potential jobs, and the opportunities out there.

“The more different we make it, the harder it is for folks to overcome that. We're really trying to focus on sameness. And not sameness like everybody is the same, but the fact that everybody is part of the same organic community," Niemiec said.

Information on future events are available on arcnorthland.org or contact Laurie Berner, the community resource connector at laurieberner@arcminnesota.org
