The horn finally stopped around 8:35 p.m.

"Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly to fix the issue, and thanks to everyone in East End for your patience," the Superior Police Department posted on Facebook.

The ship is docked at E 2nd St. and 21st Ave. E behind McDonald's, police reported.

People across the Twin Ports reported they could hear the horn, from at least Superior's East End as far as Duluth's Lakeside neighborhood.
