The 148th Fighter Wing has deployed more than 100 airmen since last fall. The wing said in a statement on Monday that the airmen are serving in multiple locations throughout the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.

These men and women are supporting global operations for Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Freedom Sentinel.

According to Col. Chris Blomquist, "It is an honor to support our military partners in mission support against any potential threats. Our thoughts are with our deployed members and their families, as they are the true heroes. On the home-front the 148th continues to prepare and is always ready and capable to serve our nation and community at a moment's notice."

148th members deployed are from the Mission Support Group, Maintenance Group and Headquarters to include Security Forces, Civil Engineering, Force Support, Chaplains, Public Affairs, Logistics Readiness Squadrons, First Sergeants, and Communications Flight. 

The wing's statment said members have been departing every month since October of last year.
