The City of Duluth says it will open both lanes of traffic on the bridge in time for Tuesday morning's commute. Workers were removing equipment and barricades on Monday.

The bridge has been limited to one lane of travel for about two and a half weeks so workers could replace some of the six-decade-old bridge decking. The work began after the end of the shipping season on Jan. 25 so the bridge could be kept in the down position.

The $300,000 project is wrapping up about two weeks ahead of schedule. The city still plans to do some repainting of the bridge in the near future.
