Programming Changes Due to State Hockey Tournament

Duluth, Minn. - It is the biggest week in Minnesota Hockey, and WDIO-DT/WIRT-DT will be airing the Minnesota Boys Hockey State Tournament through Saturday, March 10.

Two Northland teams have made it to the State Tournament. The Hermantown Hawks and the Duluth East Greyhounds continue to battle for their Class titles. Click here for Class A Brackets or Class AA Brackets.

Our hockey broadcasts will cause some ABC programming changes for the week. Because Prep45 is producing the State Tournament, we advise that you allow for extra time when recording your favorite ABC programming.

Normal Programming:

4:00 PM - The Ellen DeGeneres Show *** Will be joined in progress if need be
5:00 PM - Eyewitness News at Five
5:30 PM - ABC World News with David Muir

Programming changes for Wednesday, March 7

  • 12:00 PM: The Chew – will air on Me-TV
  • 1:00 PM: General Hospital – will air on Me-TV
  • 6:00 PM: Eyewitness News – will air on Me-TV
  • 7:00 PM: The Goldbergs – delayed broadcast at 12:06 AM
  • 7:30 PM: Speechless – delayed broadcast at 12:36 AM
  • 8:00 PM: Modern Family – delayed broadcast at 1:06 AM
  • 8:30 PM: American Housewife – delayed broadcast at 1:36 AM
  • 9:00 PM: Designated Survivor – delayed broadcast at 2:06 AM

Programming changes for Thursday, March 8

  • 12:00 PM: The Chew – will air on Me-TV
  • 1:00 PM: General Hospital – will air on Me-TV
  • 6:00 PM: Eyewitness News – will air on Me-TV
  • 7:00 PM: Grey’s Anatomy – delayed broadcast at 12:06 AM
  • 8:00 PM: Scandal – delayed broadcast at 1:06 AM
  • 9:00 PM: How To Get Away with Murder – delayed broadcast at 2:06 AM

Programming changes for Friday, March 9

  • 12:00 PM: The Chew – will air on Me-TV
  • 1:00 PM: General Hospital – will air on Me-TV
  • 6:00 PM: Eyewitness News – will air on Me-TV
  • 7:00 PM: Once Upon A Time – delayed broadcast at 12:06 AM
  • 8:00 PM: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – delayed broadcast at 1:06 AM
  • 9:00 PM: 20/20 – delayed broadcast at 2:06 AM

Programming changes for Saturday, March 10

  • 7:00 PM: NBA – will air on Me-TV
  • 7:00 PM: Svengoolie (MeTV) delayed broadcast following the NBA game

MeTV is not carried by DirecTV, which is a decision made by DirecTV. DirecTV customers in the Twin Ports and Hibbing areas may be able to receive MeTV by hooking an antenna to their TV’s RF input, using their remote to switch to the “antenna” input, and using the TV menu to run a channel scan.
