The festival will include a variety of family activities, culminating in a bonfire as a giant wooden shark goes up in flames.

Joel Vikre and Nik Wourms from Tilt Town Fab built the beast. It's set roughly to the dimensions of Bruce from Jaws, measuring 24" head to tail. "We love building strange things. This is the strangest one though, that we have built," Vikre said.

Glensheen director Dan Hartman said sharks are a bit of a running joke around the mansion.

"The whole idea is it just makes it kind of a large, fun community event for Duluth in the winter when a lot of us tend to stay inside," Hartman said.

Pre-sale tickets are available for $10. Same day tickets will be $15.
