WDIO took home the trophy for the Battle of the Meteorologists trivia contest for the second year in a row. The annual event is put on by the Dave Goldberg Family Branch of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland.

Branch club manager Dustin Anderson said, "this is our 4th year doing this, and it's become pretty popular. It's kind of expected around this time every year. We've had different meteorologists, but it's really nice to see all of the TV stations represented."

Our own Brandon Weathers competed against KBJR 6's Jenna Lake, CBS 3's Kaitlyn Moffett, and Brittney Merlot from Fox 21. Each meteorologist worked with a team of Boys & Girls Club students to answer trivia questions ranging from pop culture to history, and, of course, the weather. One kid said, "I learned that hot air rises and cold air sinks."

"It's about bringing people together," Anderson said, "we're here to have a good time, and learning is fun, and that's the biggest message of it all."
