KSTP reports that one person has died while another has suffered life-threatening injuries after the driver of a Jeep Cherokee failed to stop at a stop sign north of Crosby and collided with another vehicle on Saturday.

According to the State Patrol report, a Ford Explorer driven by a 24-year-old Crosby man was southbound on Highway 6 while the Jeep was eastbound on County Road 11, carrying the driver and four passengers.

The Jeep, driven by an 18-year-old Minneapolis man, failed to yield at a stop sign, and the vehicles collided in the intersection about 10:30 p.m.

A passenger in the Jeep, 49-year-old Brenda Elaine Magnuson, of Minneapolis, was killed. A 15-year-old passenger has suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to North Memorial. A 12-year-old passenger in the Jeep who suffered a non-life threatening injury was taken to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center.
