As of Wednesday morning, the 911 service issue for Verizon customers in Carlton County has been fixed. The sheriff's office sent a statement saying they were able to conduct test calls to 911 from a Verizon phone.

Tuesday night, Carlton County Sheriff's Office said Verizon customers were having troubles getting through to dispatch when they dial 911.

The sheriff's office says dispatch was notified by a Verizon customer their phone requested an access code when they attempted to call dispatch by dialing 911.

For anyone in Carlton County who needs to get through to dispatch, and can't get through by dialing 911, you can reach Carlton County 911 by dialing 218-384-3632 or 218-384-4185.

The sheriff's office says it appears as though other providers are able to complete a call when 911 is dialed.
