SUPERIOR - A Superior man has been arrested for his 5th offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

The 64-year-old man was driving on the 7200 Block of Tower Avenue in Superior on Sunday afternoon, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post.  

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper observed the man deviating within his traffic lane and traveling at a speed considerably lower than the posted speed limit.

The trooper stopped the man and observed signs of alcohol impairment, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post.

The man then failed a field sobriety test, and was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of intoxicants.

Charges are expected to be filed in Douglas County.
